Integrated Data Management System (BUDA-IDMS)

  • The objective of implementing this GIS platform is to construct a centralized and seamless database to manage the underground utilities and slopes for the buried water-carrying services data for slopes within the Hong Kong. With the centralized database, data can be reused immediately in the future project without using a great effort in changing the data format.
  • The GIS consists of a RDBMS using Oracle, a data/map server using ArcSDE and ArcEditor provides user interface and different GIS functions.
