In recognition of data as a very important company asset,
UtilityINFO has invested in the development of the Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) for the usage of data control, analysis, conversion, migration of various types of data into the new database based on
GIS and database technologies. Data types being converted include AutoCAD, Microstation, Word, STC25, Automapper, Text etc. IDMS provides the functionality of a data and document management system, which forms the core of UTHK’s knowledge repository. It provides indices for rapid data storage and retrieval. In addition, the system is also capable of transferring field data to offices by mobile devices (mainly PDA at the moment) and data loggers. |
